Celebrating the life of Donna Bowers
A cherished volunteer, a tenacious president and a dedicated board member since 1993.

Born May 12, 1942, in Lindsay, Oklahoma, Donna Beth Bowers was known for her compassion and her caring spirit, especially in her work with the elderly at Daily Living Centers of Oklahoma. She will be missed by friends, family and the community she served with joy each day.
Donna grew up in Oklahoma City, where she graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1960. She later married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Coy Bowers. They raised two daughters in Yukon: Ronda (Bowers) Morgan and Dustan Bowers.
Donna was a beautician for 25 years and also worked for Yukon's Salvation Army Senior Center at the First United Methodist Church. She later turned her experience as a caregiver into a professional passion, spirited by empathy from personal experience. As director of Daily Living Centers of Oklahoma, she made many friends among both staff, participants and fellow caregivers. She recently celebrated her retirement after 27 years of leadership. That legacy of kindness and outreach that went above and beyond the job description sure to be remembered by so many grateful families.
